During 2025, the Practice provided nearly 90,000 booked appointments. This illustrates the volume of work and many tasks for GPs to do. Finding ways to provide a quality service to patients has driven innovation at the Health Centre.

January 2025 - Care Co-ordinators.
This Team uses clinical information to identify patients with particular health issues, and provide focused support for, and management of their conditions.
March 2025 - Report on the 'In-House' Pharmacy provision.
The team of Clinical Pharmacists undertake a range of activities which include proactive management of annual medication reviews, provide palliative care and end-of-life medication, and monitors hospital discharge letters, while providing support to patients regarding changes in their medication.
May 2025 - Training GPs in conjunction with Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals.
The GP training programme is usually 3 years and involves time in both hospitals, as well as undertaking the duties of a GP. At the Health Centre, Doctors are supervised by Dr. Gill and Dr. Jopling. This is important work which helps with the supply of future GPs.
June 2025 - The role of the Core Patient Participation Group (PPG).
Reviewing patient opinions, and communicating these to the Practice, resulted in the Practice introducing a telephone 'call back' system. This was in response to concerns expressed regarding the amount of time waiting on the telephone prior to speaking to a Receptionist.
July 2025 - Introducing Clinical Triage.
This involved a move to GPs reviewing all appointment requests and ensuring that patients were directed to the most appropriate medical provisional. GPs were trained in this new approach, workloads planned, systems put in place, and the approach had been fully and successfully introduced.
